TOURNAMENT DETAILS
Match Play Format: Guaranteed 3, 9-Hole Matches
Bracket Play:
- Start in an 8-Person Bracket based on Handicap
- Lose a match? Move to the Consolation side
- Win a match? Earn money and move on to the Championship side
- Win your Bracket to qualify for the Shootout
Wild Cards for Shooutout:
- 2 additional spots for the next 2 hightest points winners
Tiebreakers (Bracket Play)
All Square Matches: Resolved by a putt-off from the farthest distance from the pin.
- Player 1 (honors) putts first while Player 2 turns away.
- Player 2 then attempts from the same distance.
- Closest putt advances to the next Championship bracket round while player 2 moves to the Consolation.
Shootout Details
- Format: Sudden Death Stroke Play | Handicapped
- All 6 qualified players tee off together
- Only the lowest NET scores advance to the next hole
Handicaps
TGF Members: Will utilize their TGF Handicap at 100% for play
Non-Members:
- May submit a USGA-based handicap index, which will be applied at 75%.
- This adjustment aligns with how TGF Handicaps are calculated to reflect a slightly higher level of volatility than traditional USGA Handicaps.
- Example: A USGA Handicap of 12 will be used as a 9 for this event.
PRIZES
Every match winner wins cash prizes:
- 1st Match Won = $30
- 2nd Match Won = $60
- 3rd Match Won = $180 | Bracket Champ
- Shootout Winner = $340 (with full field)
- Win up to $610 by winning all 3 of your matches + the Shootout!

TEES
Tee Selections are age-based, but flexible. Players are encouraged to play back to tees appropriate to their skill level & driving distance.
- Under 50 Years Old = WHITE Tees
- 50-64 Years Old = GREEN Tees
- 65+ Years Old = RED Tees
- Women: may choose any tee is appropriate for their distance and skill.
Notes:
- Players under 50 may request to move up if their distance or skill level is better suited to shorter tees.
- Age-based tees are optional for players who meet the criteria.
